Description

Millbanks is a house that dates from the 15th or 16th century, with later alterations and 20th-century modifications. It has a half H plan with an addition at the rear. The building features two storeys on the right jettied crosswing, a single storey on the left, and a central range that has one storey and an attic with a gabled dormer. The roof is covered with red plain tiles. The structure is timber framed and plastered, and it has four 20th-century casement windows with flat drip hoods. There is a door located at the rear and two red brick chimney stacks. Notable features include a foliate bracket on the right jetty and a carved inscription on the bressumer that reads "George Boote made this house 1598."
