Description

Causeway House is a house dating back before 1500, originally built as an open hall with a crosswing. A central gable was added at a later date. The house is two storeys high and has three gables. It has red plain tile roofs. The construction is timber framed and plastered, with jowls to the storey posts and stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops; one moulded beam is visible over the fireplace. It features a four-range of square leaded casement windows. The off-centre entrance has a plank and muntin door with a flat canopy supported by brackets. Two square chimney stacks are constructed of red brick.
