Description
Hill Farmhouse is an 18th-century house with substantial early 20th-century extensions to the south. Only the 18th-century section is of particular interest, being two storeys high, timber-framed, and plastered, with a stepped, gabled roof covered in peg tiles. The front of the building is divided into two sections. The larger southern section features a central, simple pedimented doorcase with an old iron latch, and leaded light casement windows on each floor, either side of the doorcase. A diamond-shaped leaded light window sits above the doorcase. The northern, possibly earlier, block also has leaded light casements, and includes a rear lean-to with a built-in oven. Two later red brick stacks are on the rear wall.
