Description

The Old Farmhouse is a cottage dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a half-hipped thatched roof. The building has one storey and an attic, with a three-window range of modern leaded casements and two dormer windows. An original central axial chimney stack made of red brick is present, along with a modern enclosed porch. There is also a 20th-century extension at the south end. Inside, the two-bay frame is visible, showing diagonal wind-bracing to the purlins at the junction of the bays.
