Description

Mayland Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century and possibly earlier. It is one storey with attics, constructed of timber framing and plaster. The building has an 'L' shaped plan, featuring gabled roofs covered in peg tiles and single gabled dormers on the north, west, and east-facing roofs. The east-west range includes a solar end and a large central red brick stack with an inglenook fireplace. There is a long north-south range that is gabled to the south and connects to a cross-wing at the north end. The farmhouse has modern casement windows.
