Description

Elmbridge Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 16th century, with alterations made in the early 17th century. It is timber framed and has plaster panels, with a red tile roof. The house consists of gabled crosswings to the east and west, and a central gable feature dating from the 17th century. It has a four-window front with 19th-century casement windows. A flat canopy supported by brackets sits over the doorway, also from the 18th century. There are two ground-floor bay windows from the 19th century, each with a red tile roof. A red brick chimney stack, constructed as a concertina shaft, dates from around 1600. The house features 19th-century moulded bargeboards.
