Description
The Endway is a house that has been divided into two units. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and is constructed of timber framing with a rendered finish. The building has two storeys and features a gabled roof covered with peg tiles, along with a central red brick chimney stack. The front of the house includes 20th-century metal casement windows and front doors located at each outer edge. There is a painted weatherboarding skirt and three courses of plain tiles at the first-floor level. Originally, it was a single-storey thatched cottage with attics, but it was raised in height in the early 20th century. Inside, the house displays an arch-braced frame, jowled posts, and an inglenook fireplace. The building is included for its group value.
