Description

Easton Glebe is a house dating from the mid-18th century, constructed of red brick and topped with a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and features a five-window range with 18th-century vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars and are set beneath gauged arches. The entrance is highlighted by a pediment doorcase supported by Ionic pilasters. There are 19th and 20th-century extensions at the rear, including a semi-circular extension on the east end. The interior showcases detailing from both the 18th and 19th centuries. Easton Glebe was once the home of the author H.G. Wells.
