Description

The Congregational Chapel is an early to mid-19th century building made of yellow brick, featuring red brick quoins and dressings. A panel on the front indicates the date of construction as 1841. The front of the chapel is gabled, with an overhanging verge at the gable. It has two ranges of windows on both the front and sides, which are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The entrance consists of a central semi-circular headed door, and there is an oval window in the gable. The arches above the front windows and doorway are decorated with alternating red and yellow brick voussoirs. The roof is covered with slate.
