Description

Eastern House is a cottage dating from the 17th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a red plain tiled roof and a rear extension forming an "L" shape. The two-storey elevation has a two-window range of 19th-century casement windows on the first floor, and a three-window range on the ground floor. The ground floor includes a 20th-century brick bay to the left and a four-light casement to the right. A four-panelled door with two lights is accentuated by a small pediment supported by brackets. The roof structure features side purlins.
