Description

Pump Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with various additions and alterations. It features a timber frame that is plastered, along with modern pargetting and a rear extension. The roof is covered with red plain tiles. The front has a two-window range of small paned casements and a central 20th-century door, which is accessed by steps leading up to a red tiled porch supported by brackets. A central red brick chimney stack is present, and there is a plaque on the building dated 1540. Inside, there are internal mullions. The cottage is located on the site of a former priory.
