Description

Rambler Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century or earlier, with evidence of two distinct phases of construction. It is a one-and-a-half storey building, with a single-storey section to the right. The roof is thatched, featuring a gabled dormer window, and a thatched gabled porch. The cottage is timber-framed and has been plastered, retaining stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops internally. There are three ranges of 19th-century horizontal sliding sash windows. A 20th-century door with two lights provides access to the porch, and another 20th-century door is located on the right-hand side. A square chimney stack is built of red brick.
