Description
This listing describes a row of 16 street lights located on the south side of the Esplanade, between Beach Road and West Road in Clacton-on-Sea. These street lights were installed around 1912 and are made of cast iron. They are similar in design to another row of lights found on Marine Parade East. Many of the lights have labels attached to their bases that read "Johnson and Phillips, Charlton," while two of them have labels that say "London Electric Firm, Croydon." All the lights share the same moulding style as those further along Marine Parade East.
