Description

Brook Cottage is an estate cottage dating from around 1830. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded. The roof is half hipped and gambrelled, featuring red plain tiles and pantiles, with a red brick chimney stack on the left side. The cottage has one storey and attics, with small paned horizontal sliding sash windows on both the right and left sides, each with pentice boards above. A central gabled trellis porch leads to a vertically boarded door. The oak frame of the cottage is intact. It was formerly a workers' cottage for Alresford Hall.
