Description
Park Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century, with 19th-century alterations and a right extension from the 19th or 20th century. The building is timber framed, with a brick-faced ground floor and a rough rendered first floor. It features a red plain and concrete tiled roof, along with rear and external right chimney stacks. The house has two storeys and originally included a three-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, with a two-window range of 20th-century small paned casements to the right. There is a 20th-century gabled porch and door with sidelights, as well as a 20th-century kitchen door leading to the right extension. Additionally, there is a single-storey brick-built addition with a hipped roof to the right, using bricks that are of 17th or 18th-century origin. Inside, part of the timber frame is exposed, showcasing side girts, storey posts, top plates with halved and bladed scarfs, and bridging joists. Two heavy bridging joists in the hall appear to have been added when the brick facing was installed.
