BEAUMONT-CUM-MOZE CHURCH LANE TM 12 SE 5/11 Barn approx. 90 metres north-west of Beaumont 29.4.52 Ball, formerly listed as Barns and outbuildings at Beaumont Hall

Barn. Early C19. Red brick in Flemish bond, roofed mainly with handmade red clay tiles, partly with slate. Aligned NE-SW, in 2 equal sections, each with a midstrey to the NW. 2 lean-to extensions to NW, between the midstreys, and lean-to shelter sheds along SE side. The SW half retains most of the original central threshing floor of herringbone brickwork, and the original half-hipped gambrel roof of 5 bays; lower pitch of SE side slated, the remainder tiled; raking struts from straight tiebeams to principal rafters, clasped purlins in upper pitch. The NE half retains a wooden threshing floor; the roof has been rebuilt in the C20 in simple pitched form.
