Description
A pair of urns, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 20 metres west of Park Farmhouse, with one urn on either side of the front approach path. These urns are attributed to William Tyler and are made of stone. They stand on panelled plinths with moulded bases and top slabs. The urns feature elegant narrow stems and plain sides adorned with ram's heads and swags. The lids have ringed stems, bead decoration, and domed finials. William Tyler also created a monument in St. Osyth Church for Lucy, Countess of Rochford, in 1773. The urns share similarities with this monument. Park Farm was part of the St. Osyth Priory Estate, which was owned by Lord Rochford.
