Description
The coach house and stable block, located 15 metres south-west of Beaumont Rectory, dates from around 1800. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has a slate roof. The building is a single range facing north and consists of one storey.
The central entrance features a boarded door leading to the stables, topped by a vertically-pivoted cast iron fanlight set within a semi-circular arch made of gauged brick. On each side of this entrance, there is a similar blind arch and a doorway to the coach house, which has a semi-elliptical arch of gauged brick, arranged symmetrically. The left doorway contains double doors, while the right doorway has altered doors, although the original double doors are stored inside the building.
The roof is hipped with a shallow pitch, and there is a central square wooden louvre topped with a tented metal roof and an arrow weathervane. Inside, the building retains its original stall divisions and feeding troughs.
