Description
Nos. 31 and 33 on Mill Street are two cottages that date back to the 15th or 16th century, with later alterations and additions. They are constructed from timber framing and plaster, topped with a red plain tiled roof that is hipped to the left, which was formerly part of the original crosswing. At the rear, there is a red brick chimney stack. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a two-window range with 20th-century small paned casements, and a vertically sliding sash window on the first floor to the right. To the right, there is a vertically boarded door with a fascia that extends over the right window. To the left, there are 20th-century pilasters supporting a flat canopy on brackets above a 20th-century door. Additionally, there is a single-storey extension to the right that includes a 20th-century window.
