Description
No. 57 on King's Quay Street is a house from the 19th century. It features a timber-framed structure with white shiplap weatherboarding. The building consists of two distinct parts: a three-storey tower-like section topped with a slate pyramid roof, and a long two-storey block that has a steep gabled roof made of clay tiles. The two-storey block includes a small, off-centre ridgeline stack and a small stack on the front roof slope at the northwest gable. The tower has a rendered stack on its southeast flank and a double-hung sash window on its northeast side. This side also shows remnants of a front lean-to that was originally covered with white shiplap boarding and featured a timber parapet. The entrance has a simple door surround with plain pilasters, although the hood is missing as noted during the survey.
