Description

South Hall is a house, likely of older origin with early 19th century features. It is constructed of gault brick with stucco dressings, and has a hipped roof covered in grey slate. Chimney stacks are located at the right and left rear of the building, and the eaves project outwards. An older rear wing is present. The house is two storeys high and has five small-paned vertically sliding sash windows on the first floor, each with moulded stucco surrounds. On the ground floor, two tall windows are located on the left, also with moulded stucco surrounds and cornices. To the right is an angled bay with a moulded surround and cornice. An off-centre right panelled door is topped by two toplights and a fanlight, with moulded capitals and bases to square columns and pilasters, and a flat canopy with a moulded cornice. Internal shutters are fitted to the windows. Inside, a stick baluster staircase is present.
