Description
The George and Dragon is a public house that was originally three early 17th century cottages. It was converted into a public house in the late 17th century, with later alterations and additions. The building is timber framed and weatherboarded, featuring a hipped grey slate roof with red ridge tiles. There are plastered brick walls on the left and off-centre right red brick chimney stacks. The structure has two storeys and a single storey lean-to on the left return. It has a six-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, with pentice boards above. There is a 20th-century porch and door off-centre to the left, and a single storey forward left extension made from similar materials.
