Description

This headstone, dating from 1691, is located approximately 9 metres south of the southeast buttress of the south wall of the nave at the Church of St. Nicholas. The headstone features a top with three arches, with the centre arch being taller than the others. It is adorned with a carved skull and crossbones. The inscription on the headstone reads, "Here lieth the body of John Allen who died 2 October 1691."
