Description
Ulting Wick is a house dating from the 16th century, with earlier origins and later additions, including a 20th-century two-bay and rear extension to the right. The building is timber framed and plastered, featuring some 20th-century pargetting. It has two red brick chimney stacks, with the one on the left serving a cruciform plan. The house displays two gable apexes of the rear wings, visible from the front; the left one is from the 16th century and features a Sun Insurance Plaque.
The house is two storeys high and has a seven-window range with small-paned vertically sliding sashes, which have moulded surrounds, some of which are tripartite. To the left, there is a six-panelled door with modern fluted pilasters and a pediment. Inside, notable features include some halved bracing to the walls, a halved and bridled top plate scarf, a restored back-to-back inglenook fireplace, a twisted baluster staircase from another location, and some brick floors.
