Description
Hoe Mill House is a mill house from the early 19th century, constructed of gault brick with a hipped grey slate roof. It features two gault brick chimney stacks and a projecting eaves cornice supported by double brackets. The front has a three-window range of vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars. Access is via three steps leading to a two-panel, four-light door, which has a round-headed light with glazing bars above it. A heavy flat canopy with dentilled eaves is supported by two columns and two Tuscan order pilasters. To the right, there is a matching early 20th-century single-storey extension. Inside, the house includes six-panelled doors with moulded surrounds, panelled window shutters throughout, and a tall hallway with an arch leading to the stairwell.
