Description

Little London House is a cottage dating back to the 16th century or earlier, with a later, 18th-century addition. The original section is timber-framed and covered in plaster, while the later addition is constructed of red brick. The roof over the left-hand range is gambrelled on the lower level and incorporates two gabled dormers; the roof of the right-hand range is tiled. Three red brick chimney stacks are present. The left-hand range is one storey high with attics, while the right-hand range is two storeys high. The windows are 20th-century casements with small panes. To the right is a single-storey bake/brewhouse. A central, 20th-century gabled porch is supported by timber and contains a vertically boarded door. Internally, the ceiling features stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops and bridging joists. Documentary evidence from the early 17th century references the property.
