Description
The White Horse Public House is an 18th-century building that has been extended in the 20th century. It is timber framed, roughcast rendered, and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The structure consists of four bays facing southwest, with an axial stack located one bay from the left end. There are two adjacent rear wings, each one bay wide at the left end, along with a 20th-century single-storey extension behind them. At the right end, there are two external stacks and a 20th-century flat-roofed single-storey extension behind them, as well as another single-storey extension. The building has one storey with attics. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century casement windows, one 19th-century tripartite sash window with 2-4-2 lights, and a splayed bay of sashes with 2-4-2 lights that stands forward. The first floor features three 20th-century casement windows in hipped dormers. There are two plain doors, including one 20th-century glazed door. The roofs of the main range and both rear wings are designed as half-hipped gambrels.
