Description
The Church of All Saints features a tombstone and enclosing cast iron railings, located approximately 30 metres northwest of the northwest corner of the nave. Dated 1877, the tombstone commemorates John, son of John Sampson Piggott. The railings consist of six side panels and three end panels, with all posts twisted and topped with fleur de lis finials. The central and corner posts have square bases, while the intermediate posts between the square base and central rails are adorned with barbed cross finials. The top rail is also twisted, and finely moulded foliage intertwines between the central and top rails, making this a notable example of cast iron work.
