Description
Two Swans is a house that was formerly a public house, dating from around 1600. It is a two-storey building with a timber frame and rough cast plaster. The structure is 'L' shaped, featuring a gabled roof covered with peg tiles over the southern range and a gabled range at a right angle at the northeast corner. The corner of the 'L' has been infilled with modern extensions. There is a chimney stack on the southwest gable and an original stack within the rear range that breaks the ridge line. A modern open timber and brick gabled porch is located at the northwest corner. The windows are a mix of modern leaded light casements, with those on the ground floor having slight bows. The timber frame is exposed inside the building.
