TL 40 SE THEYDON GARNON GAYNES PARK 3/342 Courtyard Outbuildings to North East of Gaynes House

GV II

Outbuildings forming a courtyard. C19. Red brick built. The West range, facing the House of 2 storeys with raised central block and hipped roof surmounted by a weatherboarded and hip roofed cote with a clock. Gabled crosswings also to right and left. 3:2:3 range of round head window or door openings, those to the right and left ranges with recessed arches. Round head windows with glazing bars probably from C18 house. Central band follows through. Centre block with arches infilled and C20 windows inserted, above which are 2 C20 casements. Central boarded doors to right and left ranges with fanlights over and 3 light windows above. To rear right of this range is a pantiled work building, probably a forge, with two, 12 light windows. Rear left is a red brick outbuilding, and at far end of the Courtyard a tall brick and weatherboarded barn with central double doors, the hipped red tiled roof, with a central weatherboarded raised aisle.
