Description
This is a table tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St Peter, approximately 40 feet from the east wall of the church. It dates from the early 19th century and commemorates M. Hossack, who died in 1815. The tomb features a plain ground slab and a ridged base. It is supported by six Doric columns that have plain bases and moulded capitals. The tomb includes a plain frieze and a moulded cornice, with a top slab that is decorated with a pediment and acroterion on all faces. Between the columns, there are six bowed monument slabs that have incised margins and key decoration in the lower corners.
