Description

This is a terrace of eleven grey gault brick houses, numbered 21 to 31 (odd), and three additional properties at 31A, 31B, and 31C, located on Lexden Road. The terrace was built in 1837 by Henry Hammond Hayward. It is three storeys high with basements. The front features eleven double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The ends of the terrace break forward with pediments, while the central three-window range projects with a parapet. Horizontal bands delineate the storeys. An Ionic doorcase is present. Later additions have been made to the west end of the terrace.
