Description

The Royal Grammar School, built in 1853 by Henry Hammond Hayward, is designed in the Neo-Tudor style. It features red brick with blue brick decorations, along with stone dressings and quoins. The building has two storeys, with three storeys at the gable end. It includes mullioned and transomed windows that have drip moulds above them, and Tudor-style brick chimneys. The roof is covered with slate.
