Description

The buildings at 1 and 2 East Bay comprise a 15th-century east cross wing with surviving screen remains, a main block rebuilt in the 17th century, and 17th and 18th-century wings at the rear. The two-storey front elevation is faced with pebble dash plaster and features a three-window arrangement of double-hung sash windows. The roofs are tiled. The ground floor has been significantly altered, incorporating a garage and shop, and includes a projecting upper storey. A four-centred arch, originally from a doorway, has been incorporated into a window. Inside the garage, heavy beams from the former partition screens remain. Original roof construction remains visible. Cellars and attics are also present.
