Description
Dalethorpe is a large 18th-century house that has undergone significant alterations and has later additions. It is two storeys high and constructed of brick. The main front is rendered and features 19th-century detailing. The roofs are clad in a mix of tile and slate, with a copper-roofed cupola on the central range. The windows are sash-hung and small-paned. The oldest part of the house is the north-west wing, which has the initials T.F. (Thomas Fimen) inscribed on a table. This wing features a gabled roof covered in peg tiles, with brick walls that have rusticated quoins and a variety of window types. There is also a red brick wall with brick capping along the road frontage.
