Description
Bell Cottage is an early 19th century building with a front elevation that reflects an older structure. It features a timber frame with plastered walls and a ridged, gabled roof covered in peg tiles. The roof has two chimney stacks at the ends and eaves. The central front door is topped by a square, returned hoodmould. On either side of the door, there are Gothic casement windows with three pointed lights, each also featuring matching hoodmoulds. There are two similar casement windows on the first storey. The chimney stacks have moulded offsets, and the plasterwork is marked to resemble ashlar. At the rear, there is a lean-to, and to the north of the west chimney, there is a gabled structure made of red brick.
