Description
The Anchor Public House is an early 18th century painted brick building with a red plain tile roof, located on Tiptree Station Road. It stands two storeys high and features two bays with a central chimney stack. The building has a two-window range of vertical sliding double hung sashes with glazing bars, and there is a blind central window on the first floor. A modern lean-to roof has been added to the front, along with a modern single storey extension at the east end. At the west end, there is an early 19th century extension that is also two storeys high and has a two-window range with vertical sliding double hung sashes featuring glazing bars. Additionally, there is a former stable range at the front, which has been significantly altered.
