Description

Altire House is an early 19th-century house built in front of a 15th-century structure, with a hipped wing extending to the rear. The front walls are painted brick, and the roofs are mostly slate-clad. There are two chimney stacks, one of gault brick and one of red brick. The west-facing front elevation has a prominent eaves line, featuring three pairs of small-pane hornless sash windows on the first storey, set within stucco arches. On the ground storey, there are two matching windows on either side of a central glazed front door, which is topped by a pediment supported by pilasters.
