Description

The Congregational Church, built in 1863 by Frederick Barnes of Ipswich, is a Grade II listed building. It features a Decorated Gothic style and is constructed of random stone. The church has a five-bay nave, with each bay containing a tall three-light window that has cinquefoil heads and diamond lattices. On the west front, there is a four-light window with three roundels in the head. The building is topped with a tall octagonal steeple that is cement rendered, and it has a slate roof. The spire was rebuilt after an earthquake in 1884.
