Description
Nos 5 and 6 on High Street in Dedham are 17th-century timber-framed buildings with an 18th-century red brick front, topped with stone coping. The structure is three stories high and features a five-window range on the first floor, which has small-paned sash windows in exposed boxes, all with flat brick arches above. There is a brick band between the second and third stories, and a large central chimney stack. The roofs are covered with peg tiles. Number 6 includes an 18th-century double shopfront that has a modillioned cornice surrounding square bays, along with a central wooden doorcase topped with a pediment on brackets.
