Description

No. 51 The Lane is a house dating from around 1750, built of red brick in English bond. It has one storey with attics, featuring a gambrel roof covered with peg tiles and end chimneys on both the left and right sides. There is an extension of one matching bay on the right. The ground floor has three original pairs of small-paned casement windows, with a modern door located in the second position, which is sheltered by a modern hipped porch. The windows are topped with segmental brick arches. Above, there are three flat dormers, each with pairs of small-paned casements.
