Description
Walcotts Hall is a house of complex plan, dating from around 1823 and earlier. The front of the building is constructed in gault brick and features four pilasters, along with a range of five first-storey windows that have hornless sashes with three panes over six. Central to the ground storey is an Ionic portico made of stucco, flanked by a pair of six-over-six pane sashes on either side. The building has eaves that lead to hipped roofs clad in slate, and there are five gault chimney stacks. The front doors consist of a pair with four fielded panels each. At the rear, the layout forms a U-shape, with the western range built from 18th-century red brick. A window lintel on the front of the building is dated 1823.
