Description

Abbeygate House is a building with probable origins prior to the 18th century, incorporating features from the 18th and 19th centuries, and subject to later alterations and additions. The west and south sides present a facade of grey gault brick with a parapet. The house extends over two storeys and has attics, featuring a double-span tiled roof. The north and south-west front show pilaster detailing. There are three windows across the front, each a double-hung sash window with glazing bars. A Tuscan porch is also present. The building was first listed on January 23, 1969.
