Description

Hulmans is a timber-framed house, likely originating from the 16th or 17th century, but it has been significantly altered in the 18th century. It underwent renovation in the 20th century when a gabled cross wing was added to the east end. The original section of the house is one storey with attics and features a two-window range with casements that have leaded lights. A central porch projects from the front, and the roof is tiled with two gabled dormers. Inside, the house displays exposed timber-framing. Hulmans is part of a group that includes the Church of St Martin, Little Waltham Hall, and The Old Rectory.
