Description
The Six Bells Public House is a building that originated as a group of four 18th century and 19th century cottages, which have now been combined. Two of the cottages face south and two face west. The structure is partly two storeys and partly one storey with attics. The south front is constructed of red brick and features a three-window range with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars; the ground floor windows are three-light. The west front is plastered and includes a mix of casement windows and double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The roofs are tiled, with the east end featuring a mansard design and one gabled dormer on each of the single-storeyed sections. The Six Bells Public House is part of a group that includes The Chestnuts, Clock House, Clock House Cottage, Maltings, Nos 2 Mallings Cottages, and St Andrews, with The Chestnuts being noted as a building of local interest.
