Description

The Old Post Office is a late 18th or early 19th century red brick building. It is two storeys high and originally featured a three-window front with double-hung sash windows containing vertical glazing bars, set within flush cased frames. A small, 20th-century shop bay with a tiled roof now occupies the west end of the building. The front door is a five-panel design with the upper panel glazed, and is set within a wood doorcase featuring pilasters and a cornice supported by brackets. The roof is tiled. A wing extends to the north at the rear of the building.
