Description
The Hoppit is a 18th to 19th century timber-framed and plastered house located in Great Waltham. It has two storeys, featuring a three-window range on the east front and a two-window range on the south front, with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars. The entrance has a central six-panel door, with the upper panels glazed, and is topped by a flat hood supported by brackets. The roof is double-pitched and tiled, with gables at both the north and south ends. The Hoppit is part of a group of listed buildings in the village, which includes Dweina, No 1, Elm Cot, Lime Tree Cottage, and the Almshouses, all of which are of local interest.
