Description
Nos 119 to 124 on Moulsham Street are almshouses founded by Thomas Mildmay in 1545 and rebuilt by William Mildmay in 1758. The building is constructed of red brick and consists of two storeys, featuring a projecting central portion with a pediment. It has a two-course projecting brick string at the eaves and is raised above road level, accessed by a ramp. The facade includes a six-window range with six blind recesses on the first floor, cambered brick arches, brick sills, and a brick sill band at the ground floor. There are six doors in total. The roof is hipped and covered with peg tiles, while the front gable is finished with pantiles. Three chimney stacks are located on the rear roof slope.
