Description

Chalk Farmhouse is a late 16th century timber-framed and plastered house located in Great Waltham. The building features cross wings at the northeast and southwest ends. The northeast wing has exposed timber-framing and jetties on the upper storey. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range with casements that include leaded lights. The roof is tiled and has an original central chimney stack with diagonal shafts.
