Description

Baileys is an early 16th century timber-framed and plastered moated farmhouse located on Mashbury Barrack Road. It features cross wings at both the east and west ends, with a central gable that dates from the 17th century. The cross wings have jettied upper stories, and the central gable projects outward, supported by a moulded bressumer and carved brackets. The building has two storeys and a three-window range, with 20th century casements that include glazing bars. A gabled porch extends from the front, featuring both original inner and outer doorways, with the inner doorway dated 1614. The roof is tiled and includes an original central chimney stack with four octagonal shafts on a square base.
